This spec commercial for Urban Outfitters is more than just an ad—it’s a celebration of individuality, creativity, and self-expression. Brought to life by a predominantly women, non-binary, and queer team based in New York City, this project showcases the artistry of indie filmmaking and inclusive storytelling.
Behind the Scenes: Filmed using a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 and a set of vintage Nikon NIKKOR AIS lenses, we achieved a rich, nostalgic look that perfectly complements the lived-in, creative vibe of the character’s space. The lighting setup, featuring APUTURE fixtures like the 1200D and the LS 600C Pro, brought warmth and intimacy to every frame.
